Kemba Walker had 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Hornets, who hit 13 3-pointers and had a 59-42 rebounding edge in a decisive win over the Western Conference’s worst team. Charlotte led for all but one possession cheap jerseys, cruising back home even with four of its top eight scorers sidelined.

”We just wanted to end the road trip the right way, and the ending was great from the jump,” nba jerseys wholesale Walker said. ”The energy and intensity was all there. We did everything we wanted to do.”

Kobe Bryant scored 23 points in 23 minutes, but the Lakers matched the 1994 team for the longest skid in the proud history of a franchise that’s won 16 NBA championships. Los Angeles dropped to 9-41, guaranteeing three straight non-winning seasons for the first time since 1961.

”Honestly, it doesn’t really matter,” said Bryant, the 20-year NBA veteran. ”I mean, does it make a (lousy) season less (lousy)? You just want a win, no matter what.”

While Bryant hit four 3-pointers and excelled in his first 20-point performance since Jan. 7, his teammates received loud boos from a Staples Center crowd finally growing tired of their poor play in his farewell season.

”I think the fans are just as frustrated as we are,” Lou Williams said. ”Hopefully the boos weren’t because of a lack of effort, because I thought our guys played all right. We just missed shots wholesale nba jerseys. Once we started missing shots, I think we just got demoralized. … I think we’ve got a lot of guys in there right now with a lack of confidence, and we have to somehow get that back.”

Jordan Clarkson scored 13 points and Lou Williams added 11 for the Lakers, who finished January with 14 losses in 15 games since their only winning streak of the season.

”The Navy SEALs have a way of taking guys to the bottom of the pool,” Bryant said. ”Sometimes, you’ve got to go to the bottom of the pool, man, and figure it out. We’re almost there, gasping for air.” View gallery LOS ANGELES, CA – JANUARY 31: Marvin Williams #2 of the Charlotte Hornets Jerseys and Julius Randle #30 of t …

MKG IN LA

Kidd-Gilchrist returned from shoulder surgery in Portland on Friday night after being sidelined since October. He went 6 for 7 against the Lakers and hit two 3-pointers.

KOBE’S STRENGTHS

Bryant missed his first five shots before banking in a short jumper late in the first quarter. He heated up with three 3-pointers and two free throws in a 2:06 span in the second quarter, earning a standing ovation and chants of ”Kobe! Kobe!” from the adoring Lakers fans.

Bryant was a high school freshman when the Lakers lost 10 straight games in 1994 under interim coach Magic Johnson, who watched this game from courtside.

LIN’S RETURN

Jeremy Lin had six points, five assists and five rebounds despite a sprained right ankle. Orlando led 60-50 at halftime and never saw the advantage go under double digits the entire second half.

”This was definitely a step forward,” Magic coach Scott Skiles said. ”I felt like our energy at the defensive end of the floor was good.

”And Mario had a lot of pop in his step. I thought it was overall his best defensive game. He did a nice job chasing people.”

Hezonja, the fifth pick in last summer’s NBA draft, has started three straight games in place of the injured Evan Fournier. Hezonja had 10 points in the first eight minutes of the game, hitting four of five shots, including a 3-pointer. He was matched up against Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy, who had only eight points on 3-for-9 shooting.

”It was good obviously because we got the win, but I’m never happy with myself individually,” Hezonja said. ”I made some mistakes in the first half, but we came up with more energy in the second half.”

Chicago never matched the Magic’s energy at any point in the game. The Bulls, coming off a lethargic effort in a 129-111 loss to Miami the nba basketball jerseys night before, were down by 14 just 10 minutes into the game and never made a serious run at the lead the rest of the game.

”It’s frustrating because we dig ourselves a hole again coming out of the gate,” Chicago coach Fred Hoiberg said. ”It’s a trend that must stop if you want to make any kind of push. They scored at will on us, especially on the fast break. Those are baskets that breed confidence.

”We’ve got 22 games left to figure this out.”

Derrick Rose led Chicago with 16 points, all in the first half. Pau Gasol had 12 points and Doug McDermott was the only other Bulls player in double figures with 11. Chicago has lost four straight games and dropped to ninth in the Eastern Conference standings.

”There are no excuses,” Rose said. ”The season is not over. We still have a shot to be in the playoffs. This is foreign ground to a lot of us. We’ve got to find ways to make it up.” View gallery ORLANDO, FL – MARCH 2: Nikola Vucevic #9 of the Orlando Magic Jerseys shoots the ball against the Chicago Bu …

Both teams were on the second game of back-to-backs and it looked it. Orlando hit only 40.2 percent, while Chicago shot just 38.4 percent from the field.

The Magic took a 17-point lead into the fourth quarter and were wholesale jerseys never seriously challenged. Rose and Gasol didn’t play in the final period and the closest the Bulls’ reserves could get was 90-74 with 8:14 left in the game.

The Magic hit five of six shots to start the third quarter, including a 3-pointer by Hezonja that helped Orlando take a 74-54 lead. Payton and Oladipo pushed the pace against the Bulls’ lackadaisical defense and the quick tempo provided plenty of open shots in the 15- to 18-foot range.

The Bulls’ offense also stayed on the perimeter, but without much success. Rose was 0 for 4 and Chicago hit only seven of 24 shots (29.1 percent). The Bulls had nba basketball jerseys only one basket the final three minutes and trailed 84-67 going into the final period.

BULLS FRUSTRATION SHOWING

Chicago’s fourth straight loss left players wondering what is happening to this season.

”Honestly, we have a lot of holes everywhere,” Dunleavy said. ”It’s kind of just across the board. As this thing goes and we continue to struggle, we are not losing too much ground cheap nba jerseys amazingly in the playoff race We just have to hang in there.”

Rose added: ”First off, we have to find out what’s the problem? Is it defense? Is it communication? That is something we are trying to figure out.”

TIP-INS

Bulls: Aaron Brooks Jerseys was ejected with 6:31 left in the game after receiving two technical fouls for arguing. … F Taj Gibson (hamstring) missed his first game this season. … G Jimmy Butler (knee) could rejoin the Bulls for practice Friday, but is not expected to play for another 10 to 12 days. … Chicago has given up 102 or more points in 15 straight games.

Magic: F Evan Fournier missed his third straight game with a sore wrist. … Elfrid Payton tied his season high with 12 assists. … Orlando is allowing opponents to shoot 47.8 percent and average 107.1 points in the last 27 games. … Vucevic made his second 3-pointer this season, just beating the shot clock at the 7:09 mark of the first quarter.

Warriors, Spurs on historic winning paces this season

wholesale nba jerseys

MIAMI (AP) — There’s never been an NBA season where two teams both won at least 80 percent of their games.

Golden State and San Antonio might change that.

With the season now past the midway point the Warriors are chasing a repeat title, the Spurs are chasing the Warriors, and they’re both chasing history. When the teams meet Monday at cheap jerseys Golden State for the first of their four regular-season matchups, the Warriors will enter with a .909 winning percentage – on pace to be the best in NBA history – while the Spurs are at .864.

Chicago’s mark of .878 (72-10) from 1995-96 is the NBA’s single-season best.

Win or lose Monday, Golden State will remain ahead of that pace.

And while San Antonio almost seemed like an afterthought amid Golden State’s 24-0 start, the Spurs are merely on pace for the third-best record ever.

”The Warriors go on a 55-game winning streak and they’re only two games ahead of them,” said Miami’s Chris Bosh, slightly overstating Golden State’s winning streak. ”That’s crazy.”

While this meeting is being touted as a potential Western Conference finals preview – as will the other Warriors-Spurs games on March 19, April 7 and April 10 – it lost some star power Sunday when San Antonio ruled Tim Duncan out with right knee soreness.

But Bosh didn’t think the teams would take a true playoff-type approach anyway, not this early in the season. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Warriors coach Steve Kerr know that no matter how important Monday seems, much bigger nights await before the Larry O’Brien Trophy gets awarded again.

”I don’t expect anybody to show their hand early,” Bosh said. ”They might play psychological games. Pop might rest the first 10 guys and sign eight D-League guys and send them out there. You never know.”

THE WEEK AHEAD

There are other NBA games this week and here’s five to keep an eye on:

– Minnesota at Cleveland, Monday: New Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue’s first game as an NBA player was against Minnesota. He’ll hope his first win as an NBA coach is against the Timberwolves, too.

– Oklahoma City at New York, Tuesday: Madison Square Garden was the only arena Thunder coach Billy Donovan called home as an NBA player, albeit for a mere 24 games as a Knick in 1987-88. (But the Knicks were 19-5 in those games.)

– Washington at Toronto, Tuesday: Wizards swept the Raptors 4-0 in last season’s first playoff round. Raptors looking for a 4-0 sweep of the teams’ regular-season series this year, winning first three by two, three and nine points, respectively.

– San Antonio at Cleveland, Saturday: The second installment of ABC’s Saturday night broadcasts this season should be another good one. LeBron James has walked off a winner in only two of his last nine games against the Spurs.

– Atlanta at Miami, Sunday: This will be only the second home game for the injury-riddled and slumping Heat in a span of 25 days. Hawks and Heat have split two games this season, both winning on the road.

ALL-STAR RESERVES

The coaches’ picks for the NBA All-Star reserves get released Thursday. Who might get a call:

– Eastern Conference: DeMar DeRozan and John Wall at guard. Chris Bosh, Andre Drummond and Pau Gasol in the front court. Jimmy Butler and Paul Millsap as wild cards.

– Western Conference: Chris Paul and and James Harden at guard. DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis Jerseys and Draymond Green in wholesale nba jerseys the frontcourt. Klay Thompson and Damian Lillard as wild cards.

It’s possible there could be an All-Star Game without Kyrie Irving, Carmelo Anthony, Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge.

STAT LINE OF THE WEEK

Kemba Walker scored 52 points against Utah, Stephen Curry was plus-34 against Cleveland and plus-36 against Chicago two nights later, and James Harden had two triple-doubles. But this week’s call goes to DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins’ line against Indiana on Saturday: career-best 48 points wholesale nba jerseys on 17-for-29 shooting, and 13 rebounds as well. He is averaging 26.7 points and 11.4 rebounds this season.
